Mr Gyngell, 48, apparently confronted his friend outside his Sydney home, and the pair began rowing about Mr Packer's treatment of his estranged spouse.The two men, who both own extensive entertainment businesses, had to be separated by bodyguards, and were later fined $500 (£280) each for 'offensive behaviour'.
Mr Gyngell's wife Leila McKinnon today poked fun at the controversy, comparing it to the fight between Beyoncé's wife Jay-Z and her sister Solange Knowles.

Three business associates, an Igbo man, a Yoruba man and a Chinese man, went to have lunch together at a restaurant in Lekki. While in the middle of their food, a fly came in through the window. It flew across the table to where the Igbo man was but he just waved his hands to chase it away. The fly then went to where the Yoruba man was, he also chased it away. Finally, the fly then went to where the Chinese man was and was flying close to his ears. The Chinese man looked at the fly for sometimes and then grabbed it, put it in his mouth and swallowed it. The other men saw this but just kept on eating. Five minutes later, another fly came in and flew to the Yoruba man who just chased it away again. It then flew on to the Igbo man but this time he did not chase the fly, he looked at it for sometime and then grabbed it. He then turned to the Chinese man and asked, "How much you go buy am?"

An Australian woman has miraculously given birth to conjoined twins with one body and two heads despite doctors initially telling them to terminate the pregnancy.
Renee Young and her partner Simon Howie, of Tregear in Sydney's west, welcomed their daughters on Thursday six weeks before they were due. The couple, who found out via an ultrasound that the twins they were expecting was in fact one child with two symmetrical faces and two brains connected by the one brain stem, said doctors were shocked by the girls' exceptional progress.
The girls were born with a rare condition called diprosopus, which means they share the same body
and vital organs but have their own faces and brains which are connected by only one brain stem. The condition is so rare that only 35 cases have ever been recorded and none have survived.
But despite all the forewarned medial problems likely to come their way, Ms Young and Mr Howie are just happy their girls are alive and well. (*THEY STILL LAUGH*)

#####Nigerian police/Lagos state government warn against jungle justice

Happy news! The Lagos State Government has warned residents of the state against taking the laws into their hands, saying the full weight of the law would be brought on people caught engaging in jungle justice, I.e beating, burning or killing any suspect, whether alone or in a mob

In a statement released last Friday, the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, said;

"The full weight of the law would be brought to bear on anyone henceforth caught engaging in jungle justice, no matter what the alleged criminal could have done. The mob may well be wrong and the helpless victim may be anyone’s child or relative. Even if they did commit the alleged offence, there is a process for prosecuting and showing the evidence in court so that proven criminals can be properly punished according to law,”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Police also released a statement this morning, saying anybody caught engaging in jungle justice will bear the full wrath of the law. See the press statement after the cut...



POLICE WARN AGAINST EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLINGS

· As IGP tasks Zonal AIGs, CPs to protect citizens’ Rights

Deeply concerned about the increasing tendency by some citizens to resort to extra-judicial killings - Jungle Justice - against those suspected to have committed one crime or another in Nigeria, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP MD Abubakar, CFR, NPM, mni, psc has warned citizens to desist from such reprehensible acts. Noting that every Nigerian citizen is entitled to the Fundamental Right of fair hearing, the IGP insists that none is guilty except a law court of competent jurisdiction expressly says so. He therefore has directed Zonal AIGs, Command CPs and other field Commanders to take adequate measures to ensure that the rights of every Nigerian citizen, including those of suspected criminals, are protected. The IGP warns that any person found to be involved in any acts of impunity or jungle justice must bear the full wrath of the law as two wrongs cannot make a right.

Noting that the Force is not opposed to citizens or members of Vigilante groups exercising their powers of arrest as private citizens, the IGP insists that such powers must be exercised within the confines of the Law. Therefore, all such persons arrested must be immediately handed over to the nearest Police Station within the shortest possible time.

The IGP also called on the social and critical mass particularly the Human Rights Community and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to live up to their responsibility of enlightening the public on the dangers and consequences associated with engaging in jungle justice.


While promising that the Police will continue to work with other relevant authorities in ensuring quick dispensation of justice at the Law Courts, the IGP implores citizens to repose confidence in the Police and the entire Justice System.
